Stone in Three Phases 2022

Stone in Three Phases 2022 is a sculpture garden created in the innerhof of the Kulturhaus Obere Stube in the town of Stein am Rhein, Switzerland. It consists of three different though related sculptural elements: Stone Field (Stein am Rhein), Remainders (Stein am Rhein) and Rock Suspension (Stein am Rhein). The principal sculptural material is electric-arc furnace slag, sourced from a steelworks in Switzerland. The works emulate the ancient stone walls found around the town, which provide habitat for local plant and animal species.
